During the 2010 Season, 60 members participated on the team with 24 young women and 36 young men.


Trenton Regional Competition

  • The Roboraiders participated in the Trenton FRC regional competition.
  • Through the course of the three day event, The Roboraiders overcame obstacles and worked tirelessly to help to prepare the 2010 robot for competition.
  • In the stands, the rest of the members cheered for the team and our alliances.
  • Although we faced rough start, our drivers continued to complete with enthusiasm and helped to bring Team 75 to 12th place by the end of the qualifier matches.
  • On setup day, we held our annual Bike Build to benefit the children of the Boys and Girls Club of America. Alongside other teams, we built 12 bikes and donated them to the Boys and Girls Club in Trenton.
  • We set up a WISE booth for people to visit and complete and activity while learning about the organization and initiative.
  • Three team members from Team 75 presented the Chairman's presentation to the judges; thus, our pits were consistently visited by FIRST judges.
  • Team 75 was presented with the second-most prestigious FIRST award: The Engineering Inspiration Award

VCU Regional Competition

  • The Roboraiders also participated in the Regional Competition in Richmond, Virginia.
  • Throughout the competition, we had several students serving as ambassadors, guiding through various VIP guests thru the competition and educating them about FIRST.
  • We had a great time having dinner with the team members from the Pascack Pioneers, Team 1676!
  • The team attended the Virginia Regional team social and had a blast getting to know the other teams
  • We received two prestigious awards through the course of the competition: the Johnson and Johnson Gracious Professionalism Award and the Autodesk Excellence in Design Award. The Roboraiders were very grateful to be recognized with these awards!
  • Atlanta Worldwide Championship
  • Our team worked extremely hard throughout the season to reach the Nationals in Atlanta.
  • This year, we had several Roboraiders who graciously donated their time to give tours around the venue to VIPs, educating them about FIRST.
  • We played our games as a defensive robot but unfortunately we didn't get selected for an alliance.
  • The Roboraiders also attended the FIRST Social at the Georgia Aquarium and got to know teams from all over the world!
  • Once again, Championships proved to be a wonderful experience for Team 75!
  • Other Events
  • FLL: Team 75 hosted an annual First Lego League Competition at Hillsborough High School for local middle and intermediate school FLL teams.
  • WISE Exploration Day: The RoboRaiders assisted in hosting a Women in Science Exploration Day at Johnson and Johnson to help inspire young women to have an interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
  • During the offseason, we participated in 2 offseason events: Monty Madness and BR^2. Thanks to teams 1403 and 303 for hosting such great events! They were thoroughly enjoyed by the members of Team 75.
